Five Signs You're Building a Godly Relationship
Not every relationship that mentions God is necessarily God-centered.
A truly Godly relationship is measured more by fruit than by words.
Here are five signs.
1. You bring each other closer to God.
Your relationship increases your desire to pray, worship, and obey Scripture instead of distracting you from God.
2. You communicate honestly.
Healthy couples discuss uncomfortable issues respectfully instead of avoiding conflict.
3. There is mutual respect.
Respect isn't earned after marriage.
It should exist during friendship and dating.
4. Boundaries are honoured.
Physical, emotional, and spiritual boundaries protect love instead of limiting it.
Self-control is evidence of maturity.
5. You are growing individually.
A healthy relationship encourages personal purpose.
Neither partner should lose their identity trying to impress the other.
Godly love supports growth rather than control.
Relationships built on Christ prioritize character above chemistry.
Chemistry may introduce people.
Character determines whether they remain together.
Don't measure your relationship by how romantic it feels.
Measure it by whether it produces peace, purity, trust, patience, forgiveness, and spiritual growth.
Those fruits last much longer than butterflies.
