Why I Refuse to Be Silent About Sexual Purity

There was a time when I deliberately avoided speaking publicly about sexual purity.

The conviction burned within my heart, but I hesitated.

Not because I doubted the message, but because I questioned how people would receive it. As a man, I wondered whether society would accept someone boldly championing chastity in an age where sexual freedom is celebrated and purity is often mocked.

I wrestled with questions like:

* Will people think I'm old-fashioned?
* Will they misunderstand my motives?
* Will anyone even listen?

For a long time, those questions kept me quiet.

The Message Was Never Meant to Stay Hidden

Initially, I convinced myself that this message was only for my own personal journey.

I believed God was simply teaching me how to live a life of purity.

But over time, I realized something important.

When God entrusts you with truth, He rarely intends for you to keep it to yourself.

Ironically, thinking the message was only for me became another form of pride. Pride whispers, "This is my revelation," instead of asking, "Lord, who needs to hear what You've taught me?"

Grace always points us outward.

God does not transform us merely so we can admire our own transformation. He transforms us so that others may encounter Him through our testimony.
The Bible Never Encourages Silent Convictions

Scripture is filled with men and women who courageously proclaimed God's truth, even when culture opposed them.

Daniel refused to compromise in Babylon.

Joseph boldly declared,

"How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?" (Genesis 39:9)

The Apostle Paul repeatedly urged believers to flee sexual immorality rather than negotiate with it.

None of them remained silent because the culture disagreed.

They understood that truth spoken in love can rescue lives.

So why should we be different?

We Cannot Afford to Keep Quiet

Our generation desperately needs voices that will remind them that holiness is still possible.

Every day we hear messages encouraging people to satisfy every desire, normalize every temptation, and redefine God's standards.

Yet very few voices confidently declare that sexual purity is still beautiful.

Purity is not outdated.

Purity is not unrealistic.

Purity is not reserved for a previous generation.

Purity is still God's design.

Many people have exchanged their peace, purpose, calling, and even their marriages because they lacked knowledge or believed the lies of the culture.

Some carry years of regret because no one lovingly showed them another way.

That is why silence is no longer an option.

Sexual Purity Is Possible

One of the greatest lies today's generation believes is that no one can actually live a sexually pure life.

That simply isn't true.

Is it easy?

No.

Is it possible?

Absolutely.

With the grace of God, accountability, wisdom, and daily surrender, countless believers have chosen purity despite living in a highly sexualized world.

Sexual purity is not a fantasy.

It is a testimony.

It is not merely about saying "no" to sin.

It is about saying "yes" to God's best.

Why I Continue Writing

Every article, every Facebook post, every conversation, and every chapter I write carries one simple hope.

Perhaps someone scrolling through social media late at night will stop before making a decision they will regret.

Perhaps someone will read a blog post and choose to walk away from temptation.

Perhaps someone will discover freedom from pornography.

Perhaps a dating couple will establish healthy boundaries.

Perhaps a young man or woman will realize they are worth waiting for.

One day, someone may say,

"I was about to commit fornication, but your post appeared—and I changed my mind."

Or,

"I read your book Embracing Chastity, and God used it to redirect my life."

If even one destiny is preserved, every article will have been worth writing.

A Message Born in the Secret Place

One reason I speak with confidence is because Embracing Chastity was not born out of personal ambition.

It was birthed in the secret place—in moments of prayer, reflection, and communion with God.

That gives me confidence that this is not merely my opinion.

It is a burden the Father placed on my heart.

And burdens from God are meant to be carried faithfully.

I Am Encouraged by Others Carrying This Torch

One of the greatest joys has been seeing many young people boldly champion this message of purity.

Across different ministries and platforms, God is raising voices that lovingly point people back to His design for sexuality.

This is no longer the burden of one individual.

It is becoming a movement.

And I believe that in the coming years, an even bolder generation will emerge.

They will not be easily swept into sexual immorality because they will understand their identity, purpose, and destiny in Christ.

They will know that temporary pleasure is never worth sacrificing eternal purpose.

Silence Is No Longer an Option

Our generation is listening.

Someone is searching for hope.

Someone is looking for truth.

Someone needs to know that purity is possible.

That is why we must keep speaking.

That is why we must keep writing.

That is why we must keep living what we preach.

Because every voice that courageously declares God's truth becomes a light in someone's darkness.

And as for me, I refuse to remain silent.

There is a generation worth reaching.

There is a generation worth fighting for.

There is a generation that must hear that embracing sexual purity is not only possible—it is beautiful, life-giving, and deeply pleasing to God.
